Scripture
Proverbs 24:16
“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”
Quoted from King James Version (public domain).
The story
Why this verse
The Jazz Sessions version of You Have the Right to Try Again revisits Proverbs 24:16 with a lighter step. The promise is still sturdy — the righteous fall and rise again — but the arrangement makes room to play, to breathe, to hear the mercy once more. It is a companion to the earlier track: the same truth, a different posture. Failure does not get the last word. Neither does shame. The invitation is still to get up, and to do it with your head up.
